I am so shocked! LoTW shows 49 confirmed states on RTTY from the contest…all except NE, which of course had to be like rare DX to me. So now I need to find a NE RTTY user that also uses LoTW. Hmm, do I put a call out on the yahoo forum or fish on 80M?
I have a special fondness for digital contests, especially since N1MM logger takes the chore out of the thing. (note to self…blog Why-I-Contest). I set a few meager goals for the contest:
1. Have the radio on for the entire 24 hours
2. WAS
3. Make 300 QSO during the period.
4. Keep my QSO rates above 20/hour
Deep down inside, I am simply a nerd. And of all of the classifications, I probably belong to the nerdiest class of all: Radio Amateur. I am not ashamed of my “status,” I revel in it, in fact. I hope to produce more evidence as such in the coming weeks.
I intend to produce (boring)interesting stream-of-consciousness not-to-mention topical entries here, but until I do I will simply contribute this for anyone stumbling upon this space: My best wishes for success and happiness in 2009, and I especially mean it.
